Nico began his career studying film but chose to explore the world rather than enter the industry. This journey led him to a newfound passion for Australian biodiversity and environmental legislation. In 2021, Nico faced a curveball with the diagnosis of autoimmune and neurodegenerative conditions, which in 2023 forced him to step back from a job he loved and a team he cherished.

What started as sleepless nights in the shed, gluing seeds into the form of imaginary creatures, evolved into art being his dopamine fix. Nico now transforms discarded materials and scrap into intricate, expressive artworks. His journey of upcycling and creation reflects a turning of life’s paths into newborn journeys.

Each piece tells a story of turning adversity into art, and he’s excited to continue this imaginative adventure.
