Alison Eggleton

Alison Eggleton is a cultural producer, with an art curation and visual art practice.

Her deep fascination with objects, materials and spatial relationships has informed her creative working life.

Her art aesthetic reveals the influences of years working as a visual merchandiser for Japanese retailer Daimaru, and a decade of studio practice in sculpture and drawing including a BA in Sculpture at RMIT, Melbourne. The love of creating art experiences and shaping cultural interpretation then led to a focus in contemporary art curation. Now as an independent senior art curator and artists, her passion of drawing, object making and placement of these elements remains a great source of material and spatial expression.

Eggleton’s affinity for arid landscapes and the physicality of rock formations is the inspiration behind her new series of drawings and object installations. She has approached drawing as an open and experimental discipline to explore relationships between patterns, structure and space.
